Sedum House is the new (completed August 2006) Head Office and Training Centre for BTCV, the UK’s leading environmental conservation volunteering charity.

The building has many sustainable features including a Sedum Roof, recycled building materials, energy efficient heating and lighting, natural ventilation and floor to ceiling windows to maximise natural light. Sedum House is one of only 14 buildings of its type in Yorkshire to have achieved the Building Research Establishments BREEAM Excellent rating, emphasising its sustainable credentials.

The accommodation offers various configurations using three dedicated rooms that will accommodate up to 50 theatre style, 36 classroom, 24 Boardroom.

Its strategic location, less than 1 mile from Junction 3 of the M18, mean it is easy to find and equally accessible by car or Public Transport being just 2 miles from Doncaster Railway Station/Bus Interchange. The larger cities of Nottingham, Leeds, Sheffield and Hull are all within 1 hours drive.

There is secure dedicated parking for 73 cars including 7 disabled spaces.

As the building is new it is fully compliant with DDA legislation including disabled toilets on both floors and a passenger lift. Room names include braille and there is a deaf induction loop installed.

There is also a shower for those travelling by cycle and cycle storage hoops.

Most of the Training Rooms have calming views over the adjoining Yorkshire Wildlife Trust 500 acre Potteric Carr Nature Reserve.

There are a number of hotels located nearby including Express by Holiday Inn (special rates apply) and Premier Travel Inn.
