As you walk across the impressive courtyard and towards the front entrance of the castle, the magnificent views from the terrace across lakes and park catch your eye.

Reception and Dining rooms range from our oak-panelled Tudor Tower Room and Library to cheerful Georgian splendour in the Morning Room and Dining Room. Guests will enjoy the tranquillity and attentive service whilst sipping champagne either from the Drawing Rooms or Terrace overlooking the lake. A guide will be available to bring to life over 700 years of family history including the secret priest's hiding place and civil war armour.

We employ our own brigade of chefs, and they are consistently achieving high standards of cuisine throughout a wide ranging menu selection. All our mouth watering menus are priced to include a champagne reception, your chosen wines and mineral water with the meal, and decorative table centre flower arrangements. You can budget with total confidence and organisers don't have to worry every time another cork is pulled. Easy access, beautiful setting, great ambiance, memorable surroundings, together with first class accommodation at The Boar's Head Hotel. We take the trouble so that you can take the credit. We are very easy to find and easy to get to from just about everywhere: we are fifteen minutes off the A1 and 45 minutes from the M1 and M62. Leeds Bradford Airport, which has regular flights to London and Europe, is less than 30 minutes away. Half-hourly GNER train services come to York and Leeds from London Kings Cross: the journey to York takes 1 ¾ hours, and it's a 45 minute drive from York to Ripley.
