| Conferences, meetings and events will appreciate this town in the Somerset Levels for its association with the Battle of Sedgemoor (the Duke of Monmouth headquartered here), Brick and Tile Museum, Arts Centre, Blake Museum (local heritage), historic architecture (Kings Square, Cornhill, Castle Street), boating on the Bridgwater and Taunton Canal, and the tidal bore on the River Parrett.
