Heythrop Park has a magnificent setting in 441 acres of landscaped parkland, on the edge of the Cotswolds, yet with easy access to Oxford and the M40. Built in 1705 in the English Baroque style, Heythrop’s grandeur reflects it’s builder’s status as the 1st Duke of Shrewsbury. The Eighteenth century mansion house now forms the heart of the hotel, and has been restored to it’s former glory, featuring a selection of elegant lounges, bars and executive meeting rooms as well as 17 luxurious bedrooms, most with panoramic views of the estate. In the newer adjoining wings, there are a further 234 bedrooms and an impressive array of conference, meeting and banqueting rooms.

The state of the art conference theatre seats up to 400 in a semi circular, tiered auditorium with desk space and an individual microphone for each delegate. The theatre is equipped with a parliamentary style voting system, translation facilities and a range of lighting and sound systems. In addition to this impressive facility, there are a further 66 meeting rooms ranging from the ballroom that can seat up to 400 for a dinner, to executive boardrooms for 10 guests. Whatever the event, there is a room to suit at Heythrop.

Travelling by Plane

London Heathrow or Birmingham International Distance: 61 miles and 53 miles respectively

Travelling by Train

London Paddington to Charlbury Distance: Charlbury station is only 10 minutes away, but taxis need to be pre-booked as there is no taxi rank at the station. Trains run hourly. More frequent trains are available to Oxford which is 35 minutes drive and where there is a taxi rank.

Travelling by Road

From M40 Northbound: Leave the motorway at junction 8 (signposted Oxford) and join the A40. Continue along this dual carriageway and at the first roundabout take the third exit and continue along the A40. Continue straight across the next roundabout and at the third turn right onto the A44 (signposted Woodstock, Evesham). Continue along this road, (passing under the A34 and through Woodstock), for approximately 12 miles to the village of Enstone. After passing the petrol station on the left continue through the village for ½ a mile. At the bottom of the hill turn right at the Harrow Pub into “The Drive” to the crossroads and the entrance to Heythrop Park wil be seen immediately facing you. From the M40 Southbound: Leave the motorway at junction 11 (signposted Banbury) and continue towards Banbury. After crossing over the next two roundabouts at the third roundabout take the first exit left onto the A361. Continue through a series of traffic lights and straight across the next roundabout (Banbury Cross). After a short distance turn right (signposted A361 Bloxham) and continue along the A361, passing through the villages of Bloxham and South Newington, for approximately 11 miles. Do not take the first road signposted to Heythrop Park but continue to the roundabout (next to the Little Chef) take the first exit onto the A3400 (signposted Enstone, Woodstock (A44). Continue along this road (which after 1 mile becomes the A44) for four miles to the village, fork left onto the B4030. Continue along this road for about 250 yards and the entrance to Heythrop Park will be seen set back off the road on the left-hand side.
