Set in 10 acres of award winning gardens, the turreted mansion house is located one mile outside St Andrews and has been in the same private family ownership since 1952 when the seven bedroom house was bought as a private home, prior to being converted into an hotel.

Considerable investment has been made in sympathetically extending the building, in keeping with the character of the original house. The interior has been refurbished to match the exacting standards expected from discerning international guests, whilst still managing to retain the charm and ambience of a private country house. The current owner, Ann Murray-Smith, takes a personal interest in the interior design, and the décor of the spacious public rooms and bedrooms reflect her individual style and taste.

Accommodation consists of 23 bedrooms and suites, 19 of which are located in the main house, including The Gilroy Suite and our acclaimed Turret Rooms. Additionally, there is a suite in The Gatehouse and in Rufflets Lodge. Families and friends have a wide choice of accommodation in either one of our two bedroom family rooms, self contained Gatehouse Suite or our new, luxury self catering lodge, ideal for golfers, wedding parties, or corporate use.

Set within the grounds of the hotel is Rufflets Lodge conference facility. This offers a secluded executive retreat with a dedicated meeting room opening onto a private patio overlooking mature gardens, offering complete privacy and security. The meeting room is equipped for state-of-the-art training, presentations or new product launches. Breakout rooms are available in the lodge and in the main hotel.
