Travelling by Road

By Road Coming from the South or the West you will approach Perth either on the M90 (from Edinburgh) or the A9 (from Stirling). From the north of England use the M6 Carlisle, M74, M73 following signs for Sterling then follow signs for Perth. Follow the signs to Dundee via the city bypass until you cross the Friarton Bridge which crosses the Tay just west of Perth. Take the first exit immediately over the bridge and follow the signs to Perth. Coming from Dundee you will travel west on the A90 and exit at the same junction before you cross the bridge. You will soon pick up the signs to Scone Palace and then to the racecourse. On racedays this could take about 30 minutes so give yourself plenty time. The racecourse is 90 minutes from 90% of the population of Scotland.
