| Conferences, meetings, and events will enjoy the ‘Lang Toun’ (so-named because of its mile-long main street) for its 18th century birthplace associations both with the economist Adam Smith, and the architect Robert Adam. Among attractions are several 15th century buildings close to the harbour, the Wemyss ware pottery of the Museum, the collection of Scottish Colourists in the Art Gallery, and the ruins of Ravenscraig Castle. Conference delegates can reach Kirkcaldy easily using the M90/A92, by train, and through flights into Edinburgh airport.
