A former country house, set in 20 acres of landscaped gardens and woodland, overlooking Ullswater and the fells beyond. Located on the western shore of Ullswater, on the A592 and yet only 10 minutes drive from junction 40 on the M6 motorway. Once a private residence, this two hundred year old house is surrounded by 22 acres of lush gardens and woodland leading down to the shore of Ullswater in the glorious Lake District Countryside.

Each of our 40 bedrooms is furnished to the very highest standards. All have a private bathroom en-suite, and satellite television, telephone data port, hairdryer, trouser press and 24-hour room service. 14 of the bedrooms have private balconies with views over the gardens towards the lake, whilst the Regency Restaurant, with its modern and classic menu, has an excellent reputation.

The Regency Restaurant offers award-winning modern British cuisine, specialising in local produce. The Conservatory is ideal for relaxed, informal lunchtime dining, and afternoon teas.The Cocktail Bar is the perfect place to unwind in the evening. The Blue Room is able to accommodate meetings for up to 32 delegates. The Library can accommodate meetings for up to twenty delegates. It also provides the ideal location for private dining, with our Drawing Rooms available for pre and post dinner drinks.
