| Conferences, meetings, and events will appreciate the silk-manufacturing heritage of this hilly Cheshire town (note the 108 steps to the 13th century Church of St. Michael) and attractions that include Macclesfield Silk Museums (including a heritage centre and mill visits), the West Park Museum (Egyptology and Victorian paintings), a Gritstone Trail, and the Macclesfield Canal. Conference delegates can reach Macclesfield easily using the M6 and cross-country roads, or M60/A523, by train, or through flights into Manchester airport.
In conclusion: very much a heritage meetings destination, Macclesfield appeals also for countryside options and strong choice of attractions.
