Segovia ? |
| Conferences, meetings, and events will enjoy this UNESCO World Heritage City for its Roman remains (a 100’ high and 2700’ long aqueduct that cuts right through Segovia), mansions that display the coats-of-arms of the aristocracy of Castile, and not least, the Alcázar fortress. There are also a dozen Romanesque churches, and restaurant specialties include roast lamb and suckling pig. Venues include branded specialist conference hotels and culture/heritage settings.
Proximity to notable palaces (e.g. those of Riofrio and La Granja de San Ildefonso), the castle towns of Coca and Cuellar, and the nature parks of Hoces del Duratón and Hoces del Rio Riaza are further plus points. Conference delegates can reach Segovia easily using international and domestic flights into Madrid airport (87km), and by train.
