Farnham Estate may be situated amid some of the most stunning scenery in Ireland but it is also one of the country’s most advanced venues for meetings, seminars and exhibitions.

With up to 620 sq. metres of meeting space in the conference centre, the hotel offers a 346 sq metre Ballroom and ten daylight meeting rooms, catering for 2 – 380 delegates.

In the Summer months, tea/coffee breaks can be enjoyed outside on the conference centre terrace and indeed barbeques can be organised on Farnham Lawn.

To compliment our meeting facilities, we can offer conference bookers and event organisers a wide range of outdoor activities and team building challenges such as high ropes courses through the woodlands, clay pigeon shooting and a wide range of team building games on the estate.

Within the hotel, there are 158 superbly appointed guestrooms and suites. Eight of these suites are located in the 400 year old Farnham House and the remaining rooms and suites are located in the hotel spreading over three floors.

Travelling by Road

From Dublin:

Distance: 127 kilometres 1hr 45mins

Directions Ø From Dublin, take the N3 through Dunshaughlin, Navan, Kells and Virginia. Ø As you approach Cavan town, go straight through the roundabout (N55, signposted Athlone, Town Centre). Ø Keep on this road where you will pass Cavan Crystal Hotel and Breffini Football Park. Ø As this roads winds into town you will come to small set of traffic lights where you go straight through. Ø Almost immediately you will come to a small roundabout – take the left hand exit towards Killeshandra/Crossdoney (R198). Ø Approximately 1km from there you will come to a fork in the road where you keep left. Ø Continue along this road, where you will pass Cavan Golf Club on your right hand side and approximately 1km from there you will arrive at the entrance of the hotel also on your right hand side. Ø When you turn into the avenue, there is approximately 1.7km drive into the hotel.

From Belfast

Distance: 146 kilometres 1hr 35mins

Directions: Ø Take the M1 from Belfast and continue on towards the A4 (Enniskillen and Omagh). Ø At the Ballygawley roundabout, take the first exit onto the A4 (signposted Armagh, Dublin & Enniskillen). This road will take you through the towns of Augher, Clogher, Fivemiletown going towards Enniskillen. Ø When you enter Enniskillen keep on the Dublin Road. Ø At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto Firths Pass (signposted Sligo, The West). Keep straight on this road through the town heading for Sligo and The West. Ø When you cross the bridge, keep to the left at the traffic lights and this will bring you to a small roundabout. Take the 1st exit towards Derrylin which is approximately 10 miles on the A509. Ø Drive straight through Derrylin towards Teemore/Belturbet. Ø At the Staghall roundabout, take the 1st exit onto the N3 (signposted Dublin, Cavan). Ø Drive straight through Belturbet towards Butlersbridge/Cavan. Ø On the road to Cavan, you will bypass Butlersbridge on your left hand side. This road will take you to the main Dublin/Cavan Roundabout where you will take the 2nd exit on your right hand side towards Athlone, Town Centre (N55). Ø Keep on this road where you will pass Cavan Crystal Hotel and Breffini Football Park. Ø As this roads winds into town you will come to small set of traffic lights where you go straight through.
