Conference Venues in Estonia
Why Estonia?
Promoted officially as an ‘exotic destination’, Estonia presents an image of being undiscovered and tantalisingly secret because of its former association with the Soviet Union. To this mystique can now be added the credentials of a fast-developing visitor infrastructure (new hotels, convention facilities, air routes), and cutting-edge MICE marketing. Estonia is also recognised as a low-cost country with a friendly reputation. Capital city Tallinn, a former Hanseatic trading centre which features an Old Town, offers meetings space to 7000 (Saku Arena), an exhibition display area of up to 3000 sq.m., and over 30 hotels of three-, four- and five-star standards (totalling 4000 rooms). Leading brands include Radisson SAS, Reval, Scandic and Domina. A secondary MICE destination is Pärnu, a resort town on the Gulf of Riga in south-west Estonia where there is meeting space to 900 (Concert Hall), and several three- and four-star hotels offering between them over 300 rooms. Elsewhere in the country are the marshlands, forests and fishing villages within the north (try Kalvi Manor Hotel at Aseri), and wilderness areas to the west. A further option is the 150-room Laulasmaa Spa Hotel (meetings to 400) near Keila. A growing number of international flights make access for conference and meetings delegates to Estonia increasingly straightforward.
